CUROLOGY MOISTURIZER

Project Purpose: Redesign an already established package

Year Created: 2023

The purpose of this piece was to redesign an already establish package. I chose rebrand and redesign the Curology Cream Moisturizer. The already establish package is strong, clean, and minimalistic. I wanted to find a way to make it more visually appealing, dynamic, and to encourage consumer engagement and purchase.

Typography

With the typography I wanted a modern and eye catching font for the logo so I chose Classic Dairy. For the headers and body copy for the package I wanted a bold, legible, and easy on the eye typeface.

Color Palette

For the color palette I wanted to maintain the already established corporate color palette

Package Sketches

During the sketching process I had to understand the target market as well as how I could make a sleek and minimal design into something more dynamic.

Package Iterations

The package design I only had 1 specific I idea that I wanted to create. I wanted 2 sides to have a shared element and a package that is easy to navigate and read. The issue with this iteration was the logo and logo mark.

Final Work

Final Iteration

With the final design I fixed the logo and logo mark. The logo mark felt uneven so I decided to use the “C” and the decender of the “G” to make the logo mark. With the actual redesign of the logo I decided to use the typeface “Classic Dairy” and mess around with the kerning of the and scale to create the finalized logo.

This journey showcases the interaction between artistic vision and market understanding, reshaping a familiar package into a sleek, dynamic design that seamlessly integrates into the brand's identity.
